This is for illustrative purposes. For example, until 2025, it was necessary to establish Quality Management Representatives within the company and create a quality manual. This resulted in enormous bureaucratic effort, which is why the management system\u2014contrary to the intentions of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iso.org\/home.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ISO (International Organization for Standardization)<\/a>\u2014did not reach many small and medium-sized enterprises. For them, the formalistic effort was simply too great.   <\/p>\n<p>Through the revision of the standard in 2015, ISO 9001 offers companies significantly more leeway. Especially in view of increasing digitalization, a quality management manual is no longer required today, for example. It is more important that companies act in the spirit of the standard than that bureaucratic formalities are fulfilled.  <\/p>\n<p>Accordingly, the role of auditors is also changing. It is not about normalizing and standardizing innovation, but about developing a management system that supports companies in developing new and innovative ways. <\/p>\n<p>This changed spirit and understanding of what the standard actually is will continue to gain ground in the coming years.
