Our

Quality Criteria

DICIS conducts its certifications according to the requirements of ISO 19011:2018 (Auditing of Management Systems), ISO 17021:2015 (Requirements for Certification Bodies), and ISO 27006:2021 (Requirements for Certification Bodies of ISMS Systems). In this document, you will find our certification standards.

DICIS is a member of the BVUZ (Federal Association of Independent Certification Bodies) and is committed to always adhering to particularly high-quality criteria.

These quality criteria, which the association has published on its homepage at https://www.bvuz.de/qk/, are as follows.

BVUZ Quality Criteria

Certifying Organizations

  • are a legal entity or a registered partnership,
  • have taken out adequate business liability insurance for personal injury, property damage, and financial losses for all certification activities, and
  • point out the BVUZ quality criteria and a complaint option with the BVUZ in case of non-compliance with these quality criteria on their website and in contracts with clients.

Offer and Contract

Members do not make an offer to enquirers if

  • an inappropriate economic dependency could arise due to its amount,
  • the fulfillment of the contract is not ensured for the entire term (going concern principle).

They conclude a legally binding contract with the clients that

  • guarantees for the entire certificate validity period that the requirements of the certification standard, relevant interested parties, the certification body, and the BVUZ quality criteria are met,
  • covers the entire scope of the certificate to be issued.

Evaluation, Audit, Review

Members

  • fundamentally have separate responsibilities for evaluation, auditing, and review on the one hand, and certification decisions on the other, and
  • ensure the confidentiality of all information obtained.

Independence

Members

  • do not offer an organization or person any services, products, or support prior to a certification that are intended to guarantee a positive certification decision or, conversely, constitute a prerequisite for successful certification, and
  • are not members of other groups or organizations that exert or could exert undue influence on the independent conduct of certification procedures.

Competence

  •  Members have defined competence criteria and maintain appropriate qualifications for evaluators, auditors, reviewers, and decision-makers.

Complaints

Every organization or person has the right to complain to the BVUZ if the DICIS Institute, a person employed by the DICIS Institute, or a person commissioned by the DICIS Institute violates one or more points of these quality criteria. The complaint can be submitted directly on the BVUZ website (www.bvuz.de/beschwerden/).

How we implement the quality criteria

To meet the quality criteria, we have implemented, among other things, the following organizational measures. The DICIS® Institute is organizationally separated from its parent company, Innolytics® AG, as a certification body. Both the software and the training courses are produced and offered by Innolytics® AG. Certification is carried out by DICIS®.
